My Scentsy Story

I’ve often heard it said that ‘timing is everything’ and ‘when you know you just know’ and I guess I’m one of those people who actually believe philosophical quotes to be little nuggets of truth and Scentsy came along at the perfect time and made those particular little quotes move from the realms of possibility into my reality. For the past nine or ten years I’d found myself drifting through one unappealing direct sales company after another, juggling life as a single mum and full time student with chronic illness, trying desperately to make ends meets and fighting the reality that things were not getting any easier by daydreaming about a rosy future and truly believing that something wonderful was going to happen. And it did. Scentsy came into my life. When my dear friend from Canada told me that Scentsy was finally about to launch in Australia I was absolutely THRILLED. I had first discovered Scentsy four or five years previously when looking for something I’d like to sell and was devastated when I contacted the company, only to be told that they had no plans to expand into Australia (at that stage)… so when I got that facebook message from Nicole, I decided there and then that I was signing up on day 1 of the Aussie launch. In the weeks that I waited for launch, I made it my business to learn as much as I possibly could about the company, the products and the opportunity. I soon realised that this opportunity was something I needed to grasp with both hands and give it my all. I LOVE the products and I truly believe in the company and the opportunity. As soon as I signed I realised that Scentsy was going to be far bigger in Australia than I’d ever anticipated – it’s addictive! I sometimes wonder what the secret ingredients are in our waxes as they truly have a magical appeal that I’ve never before witnessed with any product I’ve sold. People can’t get enough! The passion that I feel myself, coupled with the passion of my customers made growing this business the easiest thing ever. To this day, all but a couple of my hostesses have since decided to join my team. It’s been a truly magical journey for me. I signed on day one, I made Director in just 10 weeks, I earned a 5 star trip for two to the USA (from Australia) in just three weeks. I currently have a team of 110 and it’s growing! I love everything about my Scentsy journey! My life has changed incredibly. I now have a wonderful business that I can run to suit my lifestyle. I can still be there for my sons whenever they need me, I don’t miss any family functions because ‘I have to work’ as I can schedule everything around my life and not the other way around. I have a business for life and a business that I can still run, in my jammies, on the days that I’m not feeling too good. I have made some truly amazing friends who have enriched my life in many ways. I’ve had my first holiday in YEARS, I can buy those shoes I’ve always wanted, I can buy things for my family that have always been out of reach and I can plan towards a future of financial freedom. I focus on team building and love being a mentor, friend and collaborator – I love watching my global team reach THEIR goals and realise that Scentsy is a gift that money can’t buy. But it is a business that YOU can be a part of, you can join my team and together we can reach for the stars <3
